The riding school Schulze Niehues is a former farm which has the original German name „Marienfelder Zehnthof“. It is announced first time in the year 1261by documents. So the farm with the actual name “Hof Schulze Niehues” can look back to a great tradition of more than 750 years.
It is located in the beautiful park landscape of the Westphalian region of the “Münsterland” only six kilometers south of Warendorf, “the world-famous capital of horse sport and breeding in Germany. The farm has a size of 56 hectares including fields and woods. The transformation from a traditional farm to one of the most modern riding schools in Germany was the life’s work of Antonius and Hedwig Schulze Niehues.
Since the year 1965 the farm was carefully renovated, transformed and continuous expanded. During that process a lot of the centuries old parts of the farm were willingly preserved. In the year 1990 Ludger Schulze Niehues took over the riding school from his parents.
